For Sale or Trade a 1989 Chevrolet K25 Suburban 4x4 Cummins Conversion modified with 180 HP 6BTA Cummins Diesel Motor. The conversion was done using the Recon B program components through Cummins in 1994. I have the conversion paperwork and parts listing. Currently Registered until 2018. I have only been driving it once or twice a week for the last six months. So it has acquired a new radiator leak.

It had a new GM 4L80E transmission installed when it was converted replacing the stock Turbo 400. After I bought the Suburban I had the transmission rebuilt by Transmission Specialties here in Eugene. Using all Billet Components an upgrade over a stock 4L80. It also features a semi-automatic transmission with manual lockup converter. So it can be manually locked or be used as an automatic (for torque multiplication) or a Manual (for gear reduction off road) giving you the best of both worlds.

This Suburban is a Silverado model with front bucket seats, power steering, brakes, windows & locks, tilt wheel & cruise control, front and rear air conditioning (new motor), 8 passenger seating and a 15k hitch. Chassis has a 4" lift and upgrade suspension with Off Road Wheel and Tires. Aftermarket AM/FM Stereo with CD player and 10 speaker mounts (only six speakers currently). Just replaced the wiper motor and intermittent controller. It has new Yellow Top AGM batteries and the roof have been primed with rust inhibiting paint. The right rear side window is cracked. All parts are readily available and affordable.

I got 20 miles per gallon on B20 on last drive to Grants Pass and back not towing and 16 while towing a 7,000 lb. trailer. I have rebuilt or replaced all major components and every thing works. It has been run on B99 when weather permits. Starts much faster than Diesels with Glow Plugs as it has an Intake heater. Cummins industrial motor has mechanical injector pump and will run without concerns of new electronic diesel vehicles. IF we are hit with an EMP you only need to replace the Starter Solenoid and you are on your way. This Suburban is a wonderful way to go green and survive the next major disaster. Please email for additional pictures or to arrange a test drive. Asking $10,000.00 Cash (as is) or $12,500.00 trade.
