Re: 1959 duel master cylinder with power booster

I replaced the stock single chamber MC on my 1959 with a dual chamber model with no booster. (Filled with DOT 4 and added the 2 in-line pressure differential valves too.) I kept my drum brakes on all 4 corners. With properly adjusted drums, the pedal is high, the response immediate, and the pedal effort not bad at all.

I read an article about old hot rod guys drilling their drums for additional cooling. I had mine done. Not sure if I notice a difference, but several times now I have driven it loaded down a 10,000’ mountain pass w/o issue. -Steve
