So, I am working on a 72 Blazer. I got it running and took it around the block but it didn't make it all the way. So, I towed it home and now it is dead in the water.

Clicks but will not crank.

While inspecting it, I noticed a few wires that arent connected. Two are melted and look like junk. The other just isnt hooked up. You veterans are gonna probably think these are stupid questions but bear with me. We all gotta start somewhere

The first is a yellow wire that comes a harness from the junction box for the fuse panel. It appears that it went somewhere around the starter. It is melted from header heat. Had some insulation on it.

The other is a green wire that ran the same route. It also comes from the junction box for the fuse panel in the same harness as the yellow wire (also had another yellow wire that went to the distributor and a purple wire. Crosses over the block and appears to have also connected to something around the starter. It still has a spade connector on it.

The third comes from another harness around the distributor. It has a two way flat plug on it. I am gonna upload pics from my phone ...

It needs a new harness all together because it is a mess, but like most guys, that isn't gonna happen right now.
