Re: Recommended Stall Speed

We are building a 72 Jimmy for my teenager. We went with the 204/214 cam from Summit which is pretty much the same as the Edelbrock Performer cam.

Truck has 3.73 8 lug axles for an '84 Suburban. We will be running 35" tires. I have 35's on mine with the 4 speed and the converter slippage of the auto should be about same cruising rpm.

We went with the Summit 1800-2000 rpm converter which should be well above the stall speed cruising on the road.

Hopefully that turns out to be a good choice...
