That will make all the difference in the world, but STILL follow the "Basics" on applying the same amount, mixing the cans of paint, being sure it's covered evenly.
With todays paint, if you use a "value line" or even with the top end or even depending on the color, it could be more transparent than you would think. So you still have to attend to all the things mentioned, so every part is painted the same.
