Thanks. Right now my parents are interested in buying a K2500 L31 HD 4 bolt main 12530283 engine to replace the K1500 L31 2 bolt main 12530282 engine.
I think it will be a bolt in deal.
Differences seem to be:
4 bolt vs 2 bolt main.
small stem vs 3/8" stem valves.
HD vs SD vlv seats.
12 month vs 3 year warranty.
4L60E vs 4L80E flex plate and starter.
$40 price difference.
Similarities seem to be:
