I've got a pair of '63's sitting side by side....
My 4X4 service body and the short-step 2X4 project.
I did replace the motor in my driver with a new motor....I destroyed the plastic fan when removing the backing plate....it was different from my factory one....so I had to re-use the metal fan.
I can take pic's of the cheap heat model....if any-one needs to see that one...
The one in my green truck looks as it should.

After disassembling and re-furb'ing my deluxe model last week, I was left wishing I could've figured out how to replace the felt wiper/gasket thingy for the heat/defrost flapper...
I left it as it was....with a pretty good internal leak....which doesn't really seem to affect the way it performs.
