With 8" up front and low enough that there is only about 4" or less clearance between the lower A arms and the pavement, rubbing will happen on even minor road bumps unless you always slow down.
My 75 Jimmy did the same, so I tried some adjustable coil spacers from Napa, really good quality part, and lifted the front just 1/2" and no more rubbing when driving normal. Only $10 a pair, definitely worth a try.
