The upper bearing race is part of the horn contact (its tapered where it seats in the upper bearing) Without the spring you get up and down and in and out movement at the wheel. I can post a pic of the horn contact if you don't understand. Is your steering wheel stock? Or can you remove the wheel and show what the horn contact looks like?
My steering wheel is a re-pop, original style but not original to the truck. Unfortunately I cant take the wheel off now, at work. Maybe tomorrow. Thank you for the assistance, I'll buy the parts off ya if you'll part with them. I would assume i'll need the upper and lower bearings as well?
