Ok so I had some time to work on the truck this weekend, and I'm off till the first of the year so I plan on really getting going on this truck.

I started working on the manifolds trying to put new studs in them, I heated them with the torch and was able to get three of them out, and break two of them off. One of them was already broke off, so I step drilled them till I got to 5/16 of an inch drill bit (which was the right size bit for the 3/8-16 threads) ,then used a tap to work the remaining thread material out. It wasn't a good time ,but I was able to save them.

After that I blasted the manifolds and coated them with some eastwood manifold paint using a foam brush. They turned out pretty nice.

I was also able to get the engine painted and somewhat put back together. The po had painted it ford blue which I was not crazy for.
