Your tale reminds me of when I was 15. I dragged a '56 VW out of the woods of our family friends' farm and had it ready for the road by the time I got my driver's license. Welcome to the GMC K2500 club. Chevys are K/20s. You want to call it the right thing since you now own it. Can't wait till you get your paws on it, but am a patient man of course... heh heh. Is that Burkeville in Nottoway County? Looks to be about the same population as Friendsville, MD where my mom is from.

You aren't too far from Lynchburg, are you? Maybe an hour? There is a source for a lot of the parts for these trucks located there.
