Re: Incorrect wheel hub

Go back to the junkyard and get the rest of the axle for the 76 hub. Bolt it in and drive away! Fix your lug holes? No, but you could get bigger studs with a proper fitting knurl, and have miss matched lugs front and back. Getting discs on a 1970 open knuckle drum axle is generally not worth it. I think if you keep the knuckles you have to machine the rotors, who want's to do that every time you need rotors. Anyhow, the generally accepted method to convert the 70 open knuckle drum axle is to take it out and toss it. That's how I did mine. I took out the ring an pinion, it was the only thing on the axle worth keeping, IMO.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes and what parts you used to make the conversion work! I bet by the time you chase down parts you could have already had a junkyard axle rebuilt and installed!
