Re: ChevyMike's '65 Hot Rod C10

Well, I haven't done a whole lot since getting the power steering conversion done. Been driving it to shows and cruise nights. Definitely getting the PS installed made it SO much nicer to drive.

During my Christmas break I had planned on also getting my 5 speed swap done but it rained most of those two weeks, I was only able to get the PS conversion done. Last week, the clutch finally gave up and I started having problems so it was time to do the 5 speed swap.

I am documenting this in this thread AX15 5 Speed Conversion

I am in the middle of this but will share a couple pics.

Old SM465 removed (one heavy SOB)

Jeep AX15 5 Speed trans

Novak adapter plate to mount trans to GM bell housing

Check out the conversion thread for more pics and to follow the conversion.

Oh, here's "glamor" shot from a local car show.

We were given two ears and one mouth for a reason... listen twice as much and speak half as often...
