I replaced the starter last night. My solenoid bat terminal was loose and became inconsistent cranking. I replaced with the newer, smaller, higher torque (
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PWM-9112) starter. Of course things are never easy. I had to remove the dust guard because it was scraping when I accelerated and/or turned (only made it one house down). It also starts great when cold but wouldn't restart after I got to work. I noticed last night it was slower after a short test drive.
