I’m in to see what others have to say as well. I will be flipping my tie rods but haven’t decided how I will do it yet. On my old bug I just drilled out the spindle from the opposite side with the correct tapered ream. It only left me with half the hole actually grabbing the tierod due to the hourglass hole in it, but it worked just fine. And yeah, it’s a common VW mod. I’m a little more hesitant to just do this on the truck, however, since it’s a tad heavier. Although, in researching it I saw a bunch of offroad Jeep guys doing this as well with no issues. I may give it a try and if I dont like it, I’ll weld up the hole and ream the whole thing out.
