Those dual positive cables have caused me troubles in the past on my Buick. Next time the truck is dead I would start by removing them and re-installing them to see what happens. My cables had to be oriented just right to tighten up right. If that has no effect then I would start tracing the power and check for power at the starter and then to the firewall junction box.
