Re: Brake line fittings

Banjo bolts are available through some parts stores. Finding right thread can be a challenge. Sometimes rebuilders "standardize" threads so similar calipers from different years / applications can be used. Typically they will send the banjo bolt with the caliper. Sometimes the threads aren't cleaned enough and a bolt that should thread in won't. That makes it a challenge as you may begin to second guess yourself. Getting the right copper washers can be a challenge as well. The wrong thickness or diameter can cause a world of grief in some cases.

The clips are usually called brake hose clips or brake line clips. You can sometimes find them in OE and aftermarket catalogs. What's tougher is figuring out what size and shape you need when you have nothing to compare to. It can help to know the OE application for the parts you're using (if there is one).
