My Dodge 5500 is 6x4. I added the Spicer 7041 to it about 9 years ago. Not much point in splitting the low gears when loaded heavy. I normally just put in in under and ran the main box up into 4th and then started the splits from there. The Cummins has been putting over 1000 ftlbs through that setup and 4.44 gears and never a wimper. I sure got a lot of strange looks when I was hauling the Mack back to TN running down I81 at 75 MPH. Yes it was a legal load at max weight. Only thing I don"t like about the setup is that its a 4x4 and the Brownie is behind the tcase. Don"t forget to put her in direct when in 4 wheel. You will get real stuck. Don"t ask....
