The tire theory is absolutely correct. It is set up so that a buyer could order different tires on the rear of the vehicle than on the front.

Because the standard ratio changes based on the other powertrain items and GVW rating.

The optional ratio noun name is reported because it always stays the same (ie, GU6 = 3.42; GT4 = 3.73).
