About the only item that comes to mind is the size of the red wire that goes onto the stud on the back of the alternator. Get with a gm dealer parts dept. and have him look up that wire and see if the 2 alternators take the same lead, if not order the correct one, as i was told once it's a serviceable item from gm but don't know for sure.
