Re: 700R4 into a 71 K10?

Ha! Thanks very much Tim - I've had a beverage or two at the Wing and a Prayer out the south gate. Desert kinda grows on ya. Thanks again for the help. I have a much better understanding of what I'd be in for. So, it would appear that the "approach" would to be install the engine last (after installing the TH350-like output shaft in the 700R4) and then seeing where the mounts line up and "drill baby drill!!)

Trying to think what else that might hose up in the process, but seems as long as it's not hitting the radiator that the ps hoses, fuel lines, etc etc etc could almost all accept a few inch shift. Now I'm REALLY thinkin! I think I need to buy that truck! I hope the owner calls or emails back. But, the info is great whether I buy this truck or not, because I will buy another one someday - the plan anyway. Looks like the fwd limit would be when the crossmember cradle starts to hit the front axle pinion hump... But I do not believe it would need to go fwd that much.

Thanks again!
