Mike, I'm a little late to the game. I think you've got some great responses in regards to the issue at hand. 80psi is definitely way to high for a stock LS3, that's close to 5.5 bar, way over the 4 bar (58psi) needed for the LS style fueling. No matter what, however, it's going to be smelly without cats, I see you're in CA but didn't see any in the last picture posted. That pump is huge for a stock engine and will flow more volume than it will ever need, but the regulator should be doing its job. Might just be a bad one.

You've put together quite a ride, very nice work! Lots of attention to detail.
