Yours sure turned out nice doing it that way.
Another thing I'm looking at is an extended cab as yours is but to widen the door so no blind spot in the corner. I think it's just a matter of giving the hinges more support for the extra weight. Suicide doors also.
I'm just getting back into customizing now that the kids are gone. In the 60s and 70s I did a fair amount of 50s style work. Chopped a few tops, frenched headlights, etc. Not sure how far I'll go with this but the enthusiasm is back and running high now.
