Yes. Your truck, and other vehicles, runs at about double the temperature of a really hot day. There you are sweating your butt off on a 90 degree day and you open the hood. That 180 degree air feels hot hot. That's not far from boiling, it's scalding hot. Now your exhaust manifolds, those get way hotter than running temp. Those are exposed to air straight off a fire. Just about everything under there is metal that absorbs the heat. And 180 is the temperature of the cooled circulating water, not the source of the heat. It sure feels good in the winter!
