I am needing an extended cab (4 door version) 1/2 ton truck. The 2001, 02 silverado, sierra is what I have been leaning toward. Just want a simple basic truck w/ manual windows and locks. Dont even care for ABS brakes but not sure if thats possible. My question is: how are the 4.8 engines compared to the 5.3? Are there any problems or options to avoid in this year range? I am not as familiar with these newer trucks so any advise is appreciated.
