A keeper for sure!

When I was 12 yrs old (1978), on my way home after school, I rode my bicycle past a 1965 factory original Marina blue on blue SS Impala, complete with a 396/325hp 2 speed glide, mint interior (buckets, gauges in hump console, tach, etc.), SS hubcaps, all exterior trim and badges.

It was parked in a church parking lot all by itself, looking mean, but sad because it never moved. Fast forward 4 yrs later & on my 16th birthday, I paid $200 to the original owner (the preacher), & was handed a clear title to my (wet) dream muscle car!

A couple of gallons of fuel, 3 qts of trans fluid, & a new battery & I was cruising in style!! I drove it 6 miles & on my way to Mom's house to show it off, I wound up getting pulled over after 1 of the rusted mufflers burped out a couple of backfires while turning in front of a cop car waiting to go the other way.

They towed the car because I had no license, registration, or insurance. 4 days later I scraped up a couple hundred bucks for the tow company, but when I called to find out what the bill was, they told me $250 wrecker fee, & $1150 for storage...

I bet I'd still have that car if it hadn't been stolen from me.
