Re: edelbrock inline 6 manifold?

What Jimmy is talking about is true. The SP2P series of intakes were not high performance by any means. I actually got into collecting SP2P intakes a few years ago for some reason.

During the 70s, and the gas crunch, Edelbrock decided to market a full line of intakes aimed strictly at gas mileage improvements. Folks were trading their American cars in on Toyota and Datsuns because of the oil shortage. Edelbrock hoped to capitalize on this by offering increased economy. The SP2Ps were available for a lot of different engines, including the 194-292 series of inline 6 GM engines. I've also had them for SBC, BBC, small block Ford, and AMC engines. They really aren't worth anything so I just hang them up for shop wall bling.

It's a neat little piece of history.
