I just found this thread, nice work,truck is gonna be solid as new. As a guy that has been in the body shop business for over 40 years I will tell how I remove rusted /damaged panels. Instead of drilling all those welds I use a 1/4" thick 3" diameter grinding disc on my die grinder to grind the weld on the damaged or rusted side down to the save panel. It is twice as fast as drilling and your spot weld cutters will last twice as long if just using them on panels that are being reinstalled. I am not saying your way is wrong but just a tip that has worked for me.
