There's adapters out there to run a BBC water pump on the LS's. Also numerous ways you can run custom plug wires and mount the coils remotely to simulate a distributor. I had a picture of a Riviera from a few years back that did a really good job of disguising itself. Run a 4150 flange LS intake and then a holley terminator x stealth throttle body set up and you're good to go.
