When I first got the truck to the shop...I did what most people would do and "Let's see how good she runs !!"
Jumped it, and with the old fuel...it did run, but very rich.

So I pulled the carb off, disassembled it and found this:

The main jet was sitting in the bowl..(talk about a smelly, rich-running on old gas situation) !!

So the rebuild begins...

I've had this bucket of Berrymans 'Chem-Dip' for years (ever since I can remember)...good stuff...that you can't get anymore (??)

After a few moments....It was pulled out and then pressure washed...

) and the lower base to bowl screws...
