I'm VERY interested to hear more about this idea. Given the relatively low cost of the blowers and how easily they can be replaced, even if a voltage increase significantly decreases the useful life of the motor it might be worth the tradeoff.

But isn't the blower already getting maximum system voltage when the fan is set to HIGH? How would you increase the voltage even further?
