Technically you are correct. Well at least about the leaf springs. That "lowrider" term has nothing to do with a bagged truck.

On my 77 Cheyenne we originally used a Air Over Leaf (AoL) system. All but the two top leafs were removed from the spring pack. Air bag were installed outboard of the frame. This system worked just fine till I decided to upgrade to a RideTech 4 link.
