Sagely advice for sure. I think my frustration stemmed from this being basically the final piece to get me cruising for the summer. Everything else on the truck is simple aesthetics stuff and I know better than to poke at non-important stuff until the fall when I can afford to make it temporarily worse.
Thankfully the mechanic I had it towed to did an amazing job and bent me up all new lines.
