I haven't removed any of them yet, I have some slightly wandering steering even after a front end rebuild and a rebuilt steering box from a local parts store about 6 years ago, I asked a front end guy about it and he had me rock the steering wheel while he looked, he said told i had slightly loose rivets on my front spring mount, I haven't seen the movement myself yet, replacing the rivets is on my list if things i need to do eventually.

I have the same issue on mine right now
I can really feel it on some right turns the steering wheel almost feels like it skips!
