I have a 64 C20 3/4T. I put a Dana 60 out of a 72 Suburban to get a 3:54 ratio. Way better than the 4:56 it had originally.

I bet! Mine had 4:56 as well. I went to 3:73 because I have overdrive. I was open to either retaining the 8 bolt or swapping and it just happened to end up that I swapped to 6 lug rims.
