If I read that correctly, the special flywheel is for a 2-piece rear main seal engine. If you were to have a 1-piece rear main seal engine (like the 1993-1997 LT1 for example), then I don't see why you couldn't use the Camaro flywheel (sans the fact that they may be a little weaker for a heavy truck).
