'88 5.7 TBI .. the TPS ???

Ok, I'm getting confused.

It started when I bought a nice rebuilt TBI 5 years ago. I don't remember if my old TBI had an adjustable TPS on it. The rebuilt has a TPS w/ slotted bolt holes.

After chasing some stalling issues, I decided to find out if the TPS was bad.

The parts houses only show a non-adjustable TPS. But an AC Delco TPS, ( as shown in the "book", and also at the GMC dealer show a non-adjustable TPS.

The problem is the adjustable TPS allows my truck to run better.. after adjusting it. ( but I don't know if it is failing?)

Take a look at your '88 5.7, and let me know if your TPS has slotted bolt holes or not??? ( You should be able to see by looking)
