The 67's (as far as I know all of them...) used those old timey power assist cylinders that attached to the center link, with a manual steering gear box. Likely leftover 66 and earlier parts. I saw a complete setup at a pull-a-part yard, should have snatched it up...

Might be reason for lack of frame indent. The cab mount by the steer gear box has to be cut down on 67's to clear power gear box. I have not mounted a power gear box on my 67 yet, but plan to. My buddies son has done this, I will inquire....
