Re: Power steering

Hay cap Are you a longevity truck man or do you burn the candle at both ends.

The guys that i use to know that Raced at Riverside Race Way and ran the baha 1000 had that saying.

The longevity guy Has gauges for everything is a over kill type of guy on getting the best stuff that works the hardest.

Meaning if He wanted a pulling motor he would not be a slacker for a 350 he run the 400 he run the th400 trans over the th350 if he know he was going to be hauling massive loads he put a gear vendor behind the th400.The longevity guy wants what the factor put on the truck cus they tested it and it worked like Brackets cooler lines and so forth.

I know that some after market stuff can be better But so far I've not seen much of it

Now the guy that throws caution to the win run no gauges runs 750 carbs on a 60 over 350 & 400 motor's and Let the chips fall where they are.I'm not fond of them guys cus there under there hood all the time.

What is the best 235/85/16 tire on the market. If your not a loader or a hauler I will under stand.

One more question who makes the best tire all around for old and new Hot rods.

Been in the salvage business for 25 years. Did finder fee's for car's and trucks and parts for Austria for the big block ford motors and the Japs for the Caddys and Lincolns and other makes I've had amost every car Gm ever made from 1947 -1987 But for the last 15 years i'm a collector or Brackets clutch fan Fans Exhaust manifolds.I've had to down size cus Its to much work holding on to this stuff and my life needs a new direction.

One last thing back in 2006--2008 broke my heart.when metal climbed to 500 to $800.00 a ton for tin and 750 to $950.00 for steel and cast for a ton for scrap metal.I called every one i could to save the many old trucks car's parts that where ending up in the scrap yards I cryed.I saved over 140 of different car's and trucks Throw people i know

Bought a 21 window VW bus for 1800.00 from this one junk guy.Found a body shop that closed back in the late 80's that a junk guy was clean out.Payed him 2200.00 for it turned it over to a good friend of mine and made us a good profit.

People now days now want a old car or trucks there are a few but now we have the scalpers now taking good trucks apart and parting them out.Real shame
