Looks good. You are correct as load is all shear entering or exiting cab. Passengers do say they wish they had something other than the armrests to hang onto to lesser the "shear terror" of my driving. (old engineers pun intended) Not sure as to the thickness of AD pillars. Some have suggested the use of "nutserts". Not sure its worth buying the tool for just 4 mount holes I am i also little concerned that on the ADs your face is may be at risk if the handles stick out too far or are rigid. Also thought about folding handle on the inside top of door opening but weather strip and thin metal there seems a dead end.

FWIW I think grabbing the wheel to get in may not be a good thing. I think My 87 tilt van column broke using it this way. A fix is shown in my build link.
