My only thought is that up in the northeast snow and wet road conditions and cold temps could help save a lot on tire wear. The hotter the driving surface, the more grip, the more wear?

I had a set of Michelin's go a little over 100,000 miles. As stated all highway miles, well 90% plus rotation every 5,000-10,000 miles. Carry very little weight.
