short answer is no, the GMC engines were their own separate engines.. the 228, 248, 270 and 302 engines were actually a better design than the chevys of that time as they were full oilers, or so I have read.. go to
www.patricksantiquecars.com for more info about the GMC engines... the gmcs were all the same block, just different bore and stroke combos...you could use anything to make your throttle linkage, also try national carb for a carb for your truck or you could send it to them to get it rebuilt
