Hey 99. They are a bit of a pain to work on. My father work in transfer case manfucaturing for years and he has a buddy that is very knowledgable about these transmissions. He said they are incredibly complex to work on and just a pain to rebuild.
Do you have HM290 (4 shift rails) or the actuals NV3500 (1 shift rail)?
