Where is the best place to buy one shot paints? Best price on paint and least shipping?
Thanks! |

Re: One shot paints
Help me understand, 'one shot paints' .. Just single stage paint, color and clear together? Not two part base / clear ?

Re: One shot paints
Oriley's auto parts will mix up the Nason like from Dupont too. that might be an option if you have Orileys.

Re: One shot paints
The O'reillys I use sells PPG but I was in there the other day and they have the Duplicolor paint thatat is their new laquer system. It is ready to spray already mixed ,just shake it up put it in the gun and shoot. It was 24.95 a quart for primer same for paint same for clear if needed. It might be a way to take a lot of pressure off if you are new to painting or not real confident about mixing up materials.

Re: One shot paints
1 shot lettering enamel is not shot. It's brushed on using a pinstripe of signpainter's brush.

Re: One shot paints
Thanks everyone! I found a local store that had a few brushes and a few colors of paint. I bought 2 brushes and 1 can of paint. That will give me something to practice with, then I have the suggestions mentioned when I get ready to buy more.

Re: One shot paints
in my area there is a paint supply chain "Bens auto paint supplier" check in your area for one as they have quite a few stores in florida
i've also found it at a local artist supply store that had a lot bigger selection of specialty brushes for stuff like lettering and also had sword brushes in a few different qualities
