Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

I posted this up on the pickup side but got burried over there real quick. See if any of you 4x4 guys have seen this. My 70 4x4 has a 2wd cab. The PO cut along the inside ridge of the floor seam. I got a auto trans tunnel out of what was suppose to be a 72 Blazer. Doesnt seem to be lining up, ideas?

The cut in the floor is way to deep. Its should have ended 2 inches before that rise in the floor.Looks like you have the correct hump.

Re: Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

I have the original floor piece so welding it back in is not an issue. But with the cover slid all the way forward like it should be, the t case shifter is against the back of the hole in the cover and I would never be able to pull it into 4 Hi

Re: Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

shifter handle/ rod is wrong, it should have a bend in it close to 75 degrees or so.

Yours looks straight, a pic with the cover/ hump off would help.

I had the same hump and transfer case hole location, so i think your hump is correct.

Sorry i should point out ,u have an auto tranny and that hole location is probably for a manual trans which is much shorter also.

Re: Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

That was my next guess. Just wanted someone who's seen it before. Thanks

Re: Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

Well update on my floor issue. I went to weld the piece back into the floor where it had been cut too deep. My transfer case was still sticking up through the floor. Went and measured transmission cross-member drop on my moms CST Blazer and I found hers had a 5" drop, and mine only had a 4" drop. I am suspecting the member is from a newer truck. Well I fabbed up some 1" cross-member drop brakets, and all is well.

Re: Transmission tunnel cover, do I have the wrong one?

Got it all painted up, just need to drill holes and get it bolted in solid. Also going to bend the transfer case handle I have so it will work in my opening.
