fender decals/badges

When I get new fenders, what badges/fenders go on them? Right now it just has the 2 holes for something. What should it say?

6 lug? 3/4 ton? Are there "CST/20" badges?

Re: fender decals/badges

Z81 (Camper Nameplate) trumped Z84 (CST) as far as factory badging scheme went. The correct badges for your truck are Custom Camper/20, or at least thats what it came with. Since this is now a C10, you may want to go with a CST/10 emblem.

Re: fender decals/badges

I would do CST/10 since it still is that. It would be a waste of rare Custom Camper/10 emblems (if you could find any) to put those on a shortbed, which never would have been a Custom Camper

Re: fender decals/badges

While I agree that the whole concept of a Custom Camper 10 is a bad joke, the fact is they were offered 67-69. But the 69 CustomCamper/10 emblem (3953665?) was a one year only offering.

Re: fender decals/badges

I had that really nice '69 K/10 CST Custom Camper in 517 Maroon Poly w/silver pinstripe. I sold it because it was a 1/2t! Custom Campers were only longbeds.

This little truck would look cool with a special emblem. How about cutting the 'custom' and the '20' off, take a '10' cut off another emblem to create a "Camper/10" special edition of 1?

That's my plan on my 72. Even debating removing the GMC letters on the hood. I like the smooth look.

Found these is a box of stuff that came with my 73 GMC when I bought it. Didn't know they were there until now. I plan on getting them mounted in the proper place when I do the body and paint work.
