Re: 700r4 rebuild kit HELP...
I did the same swap with the same rear end, etc...you will be very happy. I will suggest investing in a TCI lock up kit as well, you will love it on the highway. They are around $90 plus or minus from summit. They are universal so can be run on non-ecm trannys.
I purchased a rebuilt unit so I cannot recommend any kit over the other but there are a lot of good ones to go with. B&M, TCI, Hughes if you want to go with a name or Summit, Transgo make good kits, too. You may want to consider a shift kit and corvette servo if you plan on an everyday driver with some good beatings at the stop light. With the comp xe268 you will probably benefit from a 2000 stall converter. All just thoughts... Good luck!
