1982 k20

This isn't going to be anything too spectacular. I am putting this truck back together so that I can blast my Blazer apart and do some things to it.. Truck is a 1982, former 6.2L 1/2 ton. Now is 3/4 ton, 6" lift, 350,350,208. I will be replacing the box, doors, fenders, fixin the cab, and it will be painted satin/hot rod black. Can't decide if I want to go chevy or gmc with the trim. Gathered up a set of 16.5x9.75s, got them blasted and painted, mounted on 35s and on the truck. I will try to keep this updated with pics as I go. Matt

Good platform to start with. Be sure to get a lot of pics. I love the longbed K20s.

Re: 1982 k20

Decided to go GMC with this. I went with the 81-82 trim because I like it better. And went with the 85 up grille and bezels, because again, I like that better also.

Re: 1982 k20

Took a load in for scrap, which included the bed. Now I can get to cleaning up the frame, tanks, axle, and put rockers and corners on it.

Re: 1982 k20

Well I wanted to change the calipers and put the lockouts on. After 2 RHs and 1 LH the holes for the brake lines a no good. The parts store had to order more calipers. Are supposed to be there today, but I wont be back home until tomorrow. So all I was able to do was put the lockouts on (had to replace one dial) and cut the caps...

Re: 1982 k20

Well I finally got the truck over to my buddies for the body and paint. After we sat and looked at the RH boxside......

I decided to hang a new one. He offered to trade me the box off of another truck, that wouldn't need any work....But this one has alittle sentimental value to me..lol

Re: 1982 k20

I have been doing alittle clean-up and detail on the engine compartment. It is still alittle dirty, but it is starting to get where I want it.
