Tire & wheel question

1987 1/2 ton
I'm ordering a lift and some wheels/tires. i'm not going high, just enough to fit 33x12.5's
2" lift? i was told that this would be enough to fit them.
also, 15x10 wheels with 3-3/4" backspacing is what i'm looking at. Anyone have the same setup? looking for pictures of how the turnout might be. thanks!

4" would probably be best with such a wide deep wheel. why not go 15x8?

On my 70 the wheels are the same back spacing, tires are 35" BFGs and the lift is a 2" HD tuff country(about 3.5" net lift). The tires rub when turning w/ springs flexed. Pics in link in signature. The 33" TSLs did not rub. (the 70 is the white one)

Just noticed you have an 87, you will definetly have no problem w/ 33s and 2" lift. I ran this set-up on an 85 w/ only 1.5" of lift and the tires never rubbed. You could probably run 33s on 8" wide rims w/ no lift.

With such a wide tire, and only an 8" wheel. The tread center is pushed outward (have you ever stepped on a tire that isn't mounted to a rim, it pushed the center of the tread out.) I'd like to keep the tread profile as flat as possible... I noticed the backspacing of almost all the aftermarket wheels are the same between 15x8 and 15x10 wheels. so basically the extra 2 inches would be out right? moving the center of the tread over about 1"? thanks!
