1972 Chev K10 TH350 Swap with 4L80E

Looking for a cross member to install the 4L80E in my 72 Chev 4x4.
My original cross member is too high.
Any ideas?

Use one from a`73-up?I have a 4L80E in my`91 Suburban 3/4t.It`s the only year (last of design) they came in this style truck.I doubt the crossmember was changed.Maybe check Hollander excange book at junkyard.

try a cross member for a 400 trans. or buy a universal one from speedway or summit that has the drop you need.

I may be parting my`91 3/4t Burb and using the 4L80E in a 67/72.I`d like to know what it takes.

How is it too high? Have not heard of this problem before.
